When you need a panel upgrade
Common reasons: adding an EV charger, heat pump, or hot tub; running out of breaker slots; an old Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel (both known fire hazards now flagged by most insurers); a 100-amp panel feeding a 2,500+ sq ft home with electric range, dryer, and water heater; or frequent nuisance breaker trips that aren't a single bad circuit.
We do a free load calculation as part of the estimate and tell you whether you can add new loads to your existing panel or actually need a 200-amp upgrade. Honest answer either way — we don't sell upgrades to homes that don't need them.
